Version 0.4 is here!

I know it’s been a long time coming, but I just couldn’t let you all down on that.

Heavily refactored, lots of bug fixes, some nice improvements, I think you’re going to like it.

Hey mate… just updated auto-tag on my http://www.drdansays.com site and got this error message:

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘auto_tag::addPluginToSubmenu’ was given in /wp-includes/plugin.php on line 339

I love the plugin but I’ve deactivated it for the time being. Any suggestions?

Dude — development version works perfectly! You ROCK! :)

BTW, it looks like Hostgator is using php 3.2.4 at this point.

    Thanks again mate.

    hello,
I have updates the newest version of this plugins (0.4.3) but have some error:

Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Empty delimiter in ../wp-content/plugins/auto-tag/auto-tag.class.php on line 83

    and

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at ../wp-content/plugins/auto-tag/auto-tag.class.php:83) in ../wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 868

    how to fix it?

    thank you.

hey i like the plugin, but it doesnt let me edit the tags it suggests.. edit like delete the ones i dont want.. when i delete the suggested ones, and update the post, it just puts back all the ones i deleted..

also would be a good feature to have it only search my current tag cloud for matches and not use the api searches..

and what does this option mean/do?:
“Append tags to the ones that already exist ?”

    • jonathan says:

Append tags to the ones that already exists means that you can manually enter tags, and then save the post, and the plugin will keep your tags. If that box is not checked, your previous tags will be deleted and replaced by the ones created by the plugin. At the moment, there is no way to delete the tags, as soon as you press the “Update” button, auto-tags kicks in and adds them back again…
I’ll have to find a way to deactivate the plugin on a per-post basis.

    Hi Jonathan

I am getting the following when using WP 3.0 and PHP4… love the plugin … looking forward to an update… thank you for a great plugin ..

    - Augustine

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/s/a/m/samZhang/html/go-digital.net/blog/wp-content/plugins/auto-tag/auto-tag.class.php on line 80

    hello Jonathan!
just update your plugin and have the same error on one blog. your development version gives same error too.
but it works fine of other blogs so it’s something more complicated.

other bug I got with updated version:
plugin is adding tags “auto” and “draft” for every new post.

if you need more data about this bug just let me know – will be happy to help with that

    thx!
